The Lady Panthers closed out regular season district play strong on Tuesday, putting on an offensive clinic against Apollo with a 10-0 win on the road.
Daviess County rattled off 29 shots in the match, with senior Brooke Schwartz’s hat trick leading the way. Sophomore Kate McCain added a pair of goals to follow Schwartz, while sophomore Lily Hoagland, freshman Maddie Purcell, junior Jessie Harwood, sophomore Amal Kalik added eight of the nine remaining goals for the Lady Panthers.
Daviess County improves to 10-4 overall and 4-2 in district play with the win, securing the No. 2 seed in the district tournament going into their fourth straight road matchup. They will have a week off before returning to the pitch, taking on Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 22.
The E-gals fall to 3-9 overall and 0-6 in district play with the loss, as they will take about a week off before hitting the road to take on McLean County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
