Last Saturday the Apollo Eagles and Owensboro Bowling teams traveled through the snow to Louisville to participate in the St. Xavier Kentucky High School Kickoff tournament.

The Eagles finished 5th of 23 teams, just missing the cut to the semi-finals, while the girls were 9th of 12. Junior Connor Nantz rolled a 685 series at the event, earning a spot on the All-Tournament team.
The Owensboro Red Devils also had a good showing at the St. X tournament, finishing 11th in the boys division.

Wednesday evening the Eagles hosted South Warren in a match at Diamond Lanes South. The Eagle Girls came away with a 6-1 win, led by 82.35% spare shooting by Sophie O’Bryan and Cassidy Joines’ nice game of 194.
The boys were defeated by South Warren 5-2 despite great games from Tyler Head (216, 216), Jack Whitesell (252), Connor Nantz (210, 208) and Landon Thompson (224)
Next up for Apollo is a three way match this Saturday against Owensboro and Warren East at Diamond Lanes Midtown.
