A rocky fourth quarter offensively was the key factor in Trinity’s (Whitesville) second straight loss on Friday night, falling to Webster County at home 57-55.

The Raiders found themselves trailing by four at halftime, but came alive in the third quarter with a 20-point outburst to take a 45-42 lead into the fourth. Trinity was in it until the very end, but a late turnover turned into giving up an and-one that ultimately led to the 57-55 loss.

Webster County had four players finish in double figures, while senior Landon Huff (14), Landon Smith (12) and senior Nathan Hernandez (10) were the lone players in double figures for the Raiders.

Trinity sits at 4-2 overall after back-to-back losses, as they will look to bounce back on Tuesday, Dec. 20, when they take on Evansville Day at 7 p.m.
