The Lady Raiders and Lady Panthers struggled on both ends of the floor on Friday night, falling in 20-plus point losses to Marshall County and Henderson County.
Trinity (Whitesville) vs Marshall County
The Lady Raiders didn’t have an answer for Marshall County on either end of the floor on Friday, as they remain winless following a 60-32 home loss.
Trinity (Whitesville) struggled to find the bottom of the net in the first half, being held to just four baskets and heading into the locker room trailing 29-8. The Lady Raiders were able to crack double figures in the following two quarters, but Marshall County wasn’t slowing down.
After a 10-point third, the Lady Marshals went off for 21 points en route to the 60-32 win over Trinity. The Lady Raiders only had three players score on Friday, as sophomore Sarah Payne (14), senior Josie Aull (10) and sophomore Kenzie McDowell (eight) combined for all of the team’s points.
Trinity now sits at 0-11 with the loss, as they will try to grab their first win of the season at home again on Saturday against Todd County Central at 6 p.m.
Daviess County vs Henderson County
The Lady Panthers couldn’t find a rhythm offensively on Friday night, suffering a blowout 63-31 loss to a tough Henderson County team.
Daviess County was unable to crack double figures in every single quarter in the contest, while the Lady Colonels had 10 different players score in the win. Senior Adylan Ayer was the only Lady Panther to finish with more than six points on the night, finishing with a game-leading 16.
Now sitting at 4-9 overall after its third straight loss, Daviess County will look to bounce back at home against Lyon County at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
