Owensboro Catholic tennis got a clean sweep of Edmonson County on Wednesday, as the girls won 7-2 and the boys won 8-1.
Maddie Meyer (6-1, 6-1), Hadley Corley (8-1), Savannah Lewis (8-1) and Kate Evans (8-4) all won their respective singles matches, while the duos of Mary Evans and Anna Wathen (6-0, 6-0) and Madison Clark and Sophia Merchant (8-1) won their doubles matches to wrap up the strong day for the girls.
The boys put on a dominant showing in singles, as Houston Danzer, Patrick Hauke, Joseph Merchant, Luke Pfeifel and John Wathen all won their matches 8-0. The duos of Houston and Cooper Danzer, Sam Fulkerson and John Silver and Parker Hayden and Jay Wethington rounded out the day with 6-0,6-0, 8-0 and 8-0 victories respectively.
