Owensboro Catholic had a big 13-3 win over Owensboro to move to 3-0 in district play, and Apollo and Daviess County’s district game was cut short due to weather with the score at 4-4. The game will be finished at a later date.

Owensboro Catholic now sits 3-0 in district after they took down Owensboro 13-3. The Red Devils are now 1-2.
Owensboro had a strong start to the game as they led 3-0 after the first inning. Owensboro Catholic struck back and took the lead with 4 runs in the second. OCHS forced Owensboro off the plate fast with 3 quick outs in the second and third innings to help pave the way for their 6 runs in the bottom of the third. The Aces continued to hold back OHS while adding 1 run in the fourth and 2 final runs in the sixth to secure the 13-3 victory.
On the mound for OCHS was Luke Quinn who had 1 strikeout and allowed 5 hits across 6 innings. At the plate, Mason Moser had 3 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Jaxson White hit a double and had 3 RBIs, and Barrett Evans hit a double, had 2 RBIs and scored 2 runs. Houston Flynn hit a double and had 1 RBI with 1 run scored. Eli Blair had 1 RBI with 2 runs scored and Brady Atwell had an RBI as well. Christopher Burns scored 3 runs and Deuce Sims had 1 run to round out scoring.
On the mound for the Red Devils was Cayden Ray, who had 2 strikeouts in 2 innings allowing 6 hits, Kaleb Ashley, who pitched for 3 innings and allowed 5 hits, and Brady Benjamin who had 1 strikeout in 0.1 innings. At the plate, Evan Hampton hit a triple, had 1 RBI and scored 1 run. Ray and Blake Kimbrell both had 1 RBI with Ray having scored 1 run as well.
