Trinity hosted Butler County at home where they narrowly lost a close 6-5 game.
Trinity took the lead right off the bat in the first inning with 2 runs. They fell behind in the next inning after Butler scored 5 runs to take the lead. After a scoreless third inning, the Raiders scored 2 runs in the fourth to bring the score to 5-4. Butler scored a key run in the fifth inning and managed to hold back THS for the fifth and sixth innings. Trinity looked dangerous in the seventh inning as they scored a run to bring the gap back to just 1, but they couldn’t find the last run to take the game into extra innings and Butler took the close 6-5 win.
On mound for the Raiders was Hayden Aull who recorded 6 strikeouts across 5 innings, and Brady McBrayer who had 2 strikeouts in 2 innings. THS had 9 hits at the plate to Butler’s 6, and they were led by Kayin Howard who hit a double and had 3 RBIs. Scoring 1 run each for Trinity was Aull, McBrayer, Carson Fitzgerald, Grant Howard and Cale Boarman.
