Hancock County beat Perry Central while McLean lost on the road.

Hancock County 7, Perry Central 3

Bella Bryant and Ava Riggs combined for three hits and four RBIs in the Lady Hornets’ 7-3 win over Perry Central. Jordyn Waltrip and Audrey Carnes both drove in runs, while Baylee Estes went 1-2. Bryant started in the circle, giving up three unearned runs over three innings, striking out three. Pitching in relief, Ryleigh French threw 3 1/3 shutout innings, allowing only one hit.

“We weren’t as sharp defensively as we were last night,” Hancock County head coach Dwayne Wroe said. “We gave up a couple of unearned runs early in the game but were able to put seven runs up on the board. It was good to see Bella Bryant and Jordy Waltrip homer in the game. We hit some balls hard all game long, and it just happened to be right at them. We received solid pitching performances out of both Bryant and Ryleigh French.”

Muhlenberg 15, McLean County 0

The Lady Cougars gave up six runs in the bottom of the first and never fully recovered, losing to Muhlenberg County 15-0. Ava McCarty, Leah Searcy, Maci Geel, and Brooklyn Whitworth had the team’s four hits, while S Rickard drew a walk. McCarty pitched the entire game, allowing 13 runs and only issuing one walk.
