Ohio County broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the sixth to beat Hancock County 1-0. Ryleigh French was lights out in the circle, giving up one unearned run over six innings. Baylee Estes, Audrey Carnes, Bella Bryant, Ava Riggs, and Madyson Higdon combined for the team’s five hits, while Maci Winkler drew a walk.
Owensboro 13, Grayson County 2
Hessi Johnson homered three times, including a walk-off grand slam, to mercy rule Grayson County 13-2. Addison Hill went 3-4 with an RBI, while Alyssa Rhineburger drove in a pair of runs. Rhineburger threw a complete game in the circle, giving up two unearned runs over five innings.
Henderson County 9, Owensboro Catholic 1
Maren Riney drove in Lily Logsdon in the seventh inning for the Lady Aces’ lone run in their 9-1 loss to Henderson County. Owensboro Catholic fell behind 5-0 in the third inning and was unable to fully recover. Tignor finished 2-3, while Carley Brey and Harper Latham had two of the team’s eight hits. Railey Scott started on the mound, allowing five earned runs over four innings, while Lily Medley pitched the last two innings.
