Shooting a 321, Daviess County girls’ golf finished third at the Eagle Invitational, just six strokes behind first-place Marshall County. Leading the way was Claire Reynolds, who shot 77 and finished sixth in the individual. Baylie Billingsley and Alexah Salamah both shot 80, while Briley Billingsley shot 84 to round out the team’s top four scores.
“Our girls got off to a slow start today. The course conditions weren’t great,’ Daviess County head coach Jonas Billingsley said. “It took a few holes before our girls settled in. They all played very well for their back nine. This was a good practice tournament for Semi-State, as most of the top teams around regions one through four were playing today.”
