Competing against seven different high schools, the Lady Panthers shot 316 to win the Paducah Tilghman Invitational by 20 strokes. Claire Reynolds won the individual shooting a68, while Baylie Billingsley was fourth with a 76. Alexa Salamah (82), Briley Billingsley (90), Ayla Roberts (97), and Kennedi Minton (100) rounded out the team’s scores.
“Claire had four birdies on today’s round with one bogey on the card,” Daviess County head coach Jonas Billingsley said. “Baylie finished fourth overall with a great score of 76. She got off to a solid start today and seemed to keep it under control for most of the day. Midway through the round, she saw a couple of rocky holes and bounced back with two consecutive birdies. Alexa recorded a top ten finish with a score of 82. She got off to a slow start – eight over through her first six holes. She managed to save her round and finish her last 12 holes three over par. Briley rounded out the team score with a 90 today. She got home and went straight to the range, wanting more from herself and contributions to the team. I love her mindset.”
