The Lady Panthers split in their double header, while McLean County drew with Breckinridge County. In other action, the Lady Aces shutout Todd County Central.

Evansville North 1, Daviess County 0

Kaelin Labart finished with five saves as the Lady Panthers fell 1-0 to Evansville North on a buzzer beater.

“We knew we were going to face tough competition today, and we battled hard in both games,” Daviess County Head Coach Paige Crisp said. “I thought Evansville North was a really solid team, and we played with them in a pretty even match the whole time. We gave up a last-second goal, which was unfortunate, but other than that, I was really pleased with how we looked, especially in the second half.”

Daviess County 3, Evansville FJ Reitz 0

Bella Coombs scored twice, while Rayleigh Bell and Caroline Whitaker both recorded assists in the Lady Panthers 3-0 win over Evansville FJ Reitz. Mary Evelyn Wiman also scored and Kaelin Labhart finished with nine saves in net.

“Our second game was against Reitz, who was also a good team,” Daviess County Head Coach Paige Crisp said. “We were down a few players due to injuries, but it was a really gutsy performance by everyone who stepped on the field. Even though we had been battling the heat all day and it was our second game, we stepped up and did what it took to get the win.”

McLean County 2, Breckinridge County 2

Landry Humphrey twice off of assists from Hannah Smith and Ana Olivera, as the Lady Cougars drew with Breckinridge County 2-2.

“The tie was a good result for us,” McLean County Head Coach Ricky Humphrey said. “We were dealing with a lot of illness on our team and injuries. Breckinridge County had a solid game plan against us today and played an excellent game. We have had an amazing season, and we’re not done yet.”

Owensboro Catholic 8, Todd County Central 0

Allie Marston had a hat trick and Meredith Traylor scored twice in the Lady Aces 8-0 win over Todd County Central. Carly Murphy, Chloe Marston, and Scarlett Isenbarger also all scored.

“The girls were pretty solid today,” Owensboro Catholic Head Coach Meg Patton said. “They possessed the ball better than they have been in previous games, and they were more controlled through the midfield. It was all around a great team performance.”
