On a night where Owensboro (5-2) was looking to win its fifth straight and move to 2-0 in the district, Evan Hampton and DaMarcus Ganaway Jr. answered the call. The senior running back rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns, and Ganaway Jr. threw for two more in the Red Devils’ 62-7 route over Marshall County (3-4).

On their ensuing drive, Evan Hampton scored from one yard out, and nine seconds later, his brother Eli Hampton returned an interception 22 yards for a 20-0 lead. To close out the first quarter, Ganaway Jr. threw a screen pass to Kingston Dillard who took it 40 yards to the endzone.
Early in the second quarter, Evan Hampton showcased his explosiveness, rushing 92 yards for a 34-0 lead. A drive later, he scored his third touchdown of the game, this time from 19 yards out, pushing the lead to 41-0.
