Apollo beat Hopkinsville on the road, while Owensboro Catholic fell to Sacred Heart. In other action, McLean County won at home, and Hancock County lost in overtime to Butler County.

Apollo 62, Hopkinsville 53

Emersyn Bullington scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed six rebounds to power the E-Gals past Hopkinsville 62-53. Mattingly Taylor recorded a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Maleah Potter finished with nine points, nine rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

“Emersyn Bullington had an amazing game, and Mattingly Taylor had a double-double,” Apollo Head Coach Mike Riggs said. “Everyone contributed. We made a lot of mistakes and have plenty to work on, but it’s always nice to come away with a road win.”

Butler County 71, Hancock County 58

Carolina Jones scored a team-high 29 points and dished out six assists as the Lady Hornets fell to Butler County in overtime, 71-58. Ansley House recorded a double-double, finishing with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

McLean County 66, Union County 42

Anna Miller hit six threes to go along with her team-high 24 points in the Lady Cougars’ 66-42 win over Union County. Karlee Floyd added eight points, eight steals, and six rebounds, and Kenadi Level scored nine points to go along with her two rebounds and two steals.

Sacred Heart 80, Owensboro Catholic 41

Katie Hagan scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the second quarter as Owensboro Catholic fell to Sacred Heart 80-41. Taylor Mannahan hit two threes to go along with her eight points, and Layla Martin was third on the team in scoring with seven points
