Competing against Apollo, Owensboro’s swim team came away with a clean sweep, with the boys’ team winning 99-55, and the girls winning 67-20.
On the boys’ side, the Red Devils won the 100 butterfly, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, and 400 freestyle relay. The Lady Devils won the 100 butterfly, 100 freestyle, 500 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 100 backstroke, and 100 breaststroke.
Apollo’s boys team won in the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, and the E-Gals came out on top in one meter diving and the 400 freestyle relay.
Both Apollo and Owensboro, as well as Daviess County and Owensboro Catholic, will all return to action this Saturday for the City County meet.
