McLean County shutout Grayson County, while Apollo outdueled Muhlenberg County. In other action Daviess County dropped a tight pitchers’ duel to Greenwood.

Apollo 3, Muhlenberg County 2

Jagger Pate was nearly untouchable, allowing one earned run over five innings to power the Eagles past Muhlenberg County 3-2. Ryleigh Logan came on in relief and allowed one run over two innings, while Ty Lillpop and Gunnar Hendricks both drove in runs.

Greenwood 2, Daviess County 1

The Panthers took an early 1-0 lead, but were unable to close it out, falling to Greenwood 2-1. Gavin Howard went 1-2 with an RBI, while Cameron Rickard had the team’s only other hit. Anthony Brinkley started on the mound, allowing one earned run over three innings, while Nolan Johnson pitched four innings out of the bullpen.

McLean County 12, Grayson County 0

The Cougars scored five runs in the top of the third and never looked back, beating Grayson County 12-0. Jayden Taylor went 2-3 with three RBIs, while Corbin Martin, Brennen Dant, Kaysen Bozarth, and Layden Bozarth combined for four hits and seven RBIs. Martin threw a complete game shutout on the mound, allowing four hits and striking out five.
