Taking on an up-and-coming Cloverport team, Hancock County tennis swept the boys/girls double-header, with the Hornets and the Lady Hornets winning 4-0 and 4-1.
For the girls’ team, Ella Chappell and Audrey Morris both won their singles matches, while Caleb Ewing, Tyce Boiling, and Matthias Herrmann all emerged victorious.
“Ella did a better job attacking the ball and creating space, especially on her backhand,” Hancock County Head Coach Dan Hopkins said. “I was glad to see Audrey get her first win as the number two. Caleb got to play at number one and battled the wind and his opponent well. Tyce earned his first singles win, and Matthias keeps improving. Cloverport is getting better.”
