Owensboro Catholic beat Owensboro in an important 9th District game, while Hancock County and Trinity (Whitesville) both won.

Hancock County 10, South Spencer (Rockport), IN 0

Bella Bryant was lights out in the circle, striking out seven over six shutout innings as the Lady Hornets shutout South Spence 10-0. Jordyn Waltrip went 3-4 with two RBIs, while Audrey Carnes and Bryant both drove in a pair.

Owensboro Catholic 13, Owensboro 4

The Lady Aces scored four runs in the top of the second and never looked back, beating Owensboro 13-4. Taylor Clark went 2-5 with two RBIs, Addilyn Simmons, Anna Hamilton, and Carley Brey combined for six hits and three RBIs, and Raegan Leach went 1-4 and scored two runs. Ava Mudd started in the circle, allowing three earned runs over 3 1/3 innings, while Addalynn Mayfield pitched 3 2/3 shutout innings, striking out five.

For the Lady Devils, Hayley Sikes went 2-3 with an RBI, while Jalea Sanford and Reese Richards both drove in runs. Paislee Hodge started in the circle, allowing two earned runs over six innings, while Audrey Potter pitched in relief.

Trinity (Whitesville) 9, Grayson County 0

Ella Morris was nearly perfect in the circle, throwing seven shutout innings and striking out 13 as the Lady Raiders shutout Grayson County 9-0. Lucy Hallmark went 3-3 with three RBIs, Kendall Howard and Michaela Knight both drove in a pair, and Sadie Morris went 2-3.
