Daviess County swept Meade County, while the Aces went 4-1 on the week.

Daviess County sweeps Meade County

Daviess County improved to 2-0, as their boys’ and girls’ teams beat Meade County 6-3 and 7-2.

For the Panthers, Landon McDuffee, Eli Bivens, and Alex Sublett all won their singles matches, while the doubles teams of McDuffee and Bivens and Sublett and Nathan Kafer both came out on top. The Lady Panthers’ Emmie Kate Williams, Ellie Dever, Claire Dunlay, Lyla Grace Hall, and Camille Shutt all won their singles matches, while the duos of Dever and Ella Boswell, and Williams and Kate Mason both were victorious in doubles.

“We continued our season strong with another win against a good team,” Daviess County Head Coach Dylan McDuffee said. “Landon and Emmie Kate played some great tennis and led their teams to a great win.”

Aces go 3-1 in Huntsville Tournament; beat Muhlenberg County to improve to 7-1

Traveling to Huntsville, the Aces lost their opening match to Madison Central (Mississippi) 8-1, but followed that up by beating University School of Jackson 8-1, Huntsville 9-0, and Bixby 6-3.

Returning from the Tournament, they faced Muhlenberg County, beating them 5-0 to improve to 7-1 on the season. Jack Haines, Luke Pfeifer, and Carson Clark all won their singles matches, while the doubles team of Joseph Merchant and Ben Haines came out on top.
