Yesterday, Daviess County fell to Sayre, while on Saturday, McLean County cruised past Fort Campbell.

Tied 1-1 entering the fourth, the Panthers were outscored 5-0 for the rest of the afternoon, losing to Sayre 6-1. Cameron Rickard went 1-3 and drove in the team’s lone run, while Caden Embry, Logan Mason, and Rylan Clemons all recorded hits. Ben Watkins started on the mound, allowing three runs over three innings, while John Rue threw four innings in relief.

McLean County 19, Fort Campbell 0 (Game played on 4/4)

The Cougars exploded for 11 runs in the top of the first inning and never slowed down, beating Fort Campbell 19-0. Layden Bozarth, Kaysen Bozarth, and Jayden Taylor combined for eight hits and nine RBIs, Nash Lee and Jaelin Groves both drove in a pair of runs, and Brooks Lynam went 1-2 and scored three runs. Lee threw 2 1/3 shutout innings on the mound, allowing only one walk and striking out seven, while Will Gatton recorded the final two outs.
