The Lady Devils allowed four runs in the bottom of the first and never fully bounced back, losing to West Jessamine 10-0. Sydney Stallings had the team’s lone hit, while Hayley Sikes walked.
Owensboro Catholic drops doubleheader
Playing a doubleheader, the Lady Aces dropped a heartbreaker to Muhlenberg County 10-9, and lost to Mercy 6-4. Against Muhlenberg County, Lily Logsdon went 1-2 and drove in three runs, Anna Beth Hamilton went 2-2 with two RBIs, and Emma Riney finished 3-4 with two RBIs. Addalynn Mayfield started in the circle, allowing five earned runs over three innings, while Ava Mudd pitched three innings in relief.
Trinity (Whitesville) 6, Ohio County 1
Emersyn Beyke went 1-3 with an RBI and a homer to fuel the Lady Raiders past Ohio County 6-1. Ella Morris went 2-4 with four RBIs, Kendall Howard went 2-4, and Avary Emmick finished 3-4. Morris threw a complete game in the circle, allowing one earned run over seven innings, striking out seven.
