Windy Hollow Raceway Park will host a full weekend of racing and automotive events April 17-19, with activities scheduled each day at the Owensboro facility.

Friday kicks off with “Friday Night Fun” at Windy Hollow Dragway, featuring test-and-tune runs, grudge racing, and a trophy race. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with racing from 6:30-10:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for ages 6-10, and free for children 5 and under.

Saturday shifts to “Eighth Mile Madness at the Holler,” an event hosted by an outside promoter that includes a show-and-shine, fun run passes, an audio competition, vendors, car detailing, and food trucks.

The weekend concludes Sunday as Windy Hollow Speedway returns to action with a full slate of dirt track racing. The program will feature the debut of the Jr. Crown Vic Series and the season opener for Crate Late Models, along with CRUSA Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Rusty Bolts, Bombers, and Economies.

Sunday gates open at 3 p.m., with qualifying scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults, $6 for ages 6-10, and free for children 5 and under.

Track promoter Trevor Hutchins said the facility has undergone additional improvements during a recent three-week break at the speedway.

“We are looking forward to a great weekend at both tracks,” Hutchins said. “We have been off for three weeks at the speedway and have made even more improvements to the facility to welcome our fans. We hope to see a great crowd on Sunday at the speedway and on Friday at the drag strip.”
