The Owensboro Police Department on Wednesday responded to the 1700 block of Ohio Street in reference to a possible improvised explosive device that was located behind a residence.
The OPD Hazardous Device Unit responded and rendered the device safe, according to OPD. The incident occurred at approximately 12:46 p.m.
Detectives responded to investigate and anyone with additional information can call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
