Local golfers put on a show when they were at Panther Creek Golf Course right here in Owensboro, grabbing multiple high finishes amongst a large field of competitors.
On the boys side of the competition there were two golfers that grabbed first in their respective divisions, with those being Colby Vanover and Jax Malone. Vanover grabbed first in the 9-hole 11-12 age group by shooting a 40, while Malone shot a 74 in the 18-hole 16-18 age division.
Andrew Powell finished close behind Vanover in third by shooting a 52, while Grayson Powers finished in fourth behind Malone with a 78. The boys golfers continued to show out in the other divisions with John Carson Malone (15) and Hudson Brasher (19) grabbed second and third in the 3-hole 8-under division, while Jacob Hamilton (88) and Luke Estes (88) grabbed second and third in the 6-hole 13-15 age group.
There were two first-place finishes in the girls divisions as well, with Kennedi Minton shooting a 32 in the 6-hole 9-10 age group and AnnaLee Yager shooting an 86 in the 18-hole 16-18 age division.
Briley Billingsley followed closely behind Minton in third with a 38, while Baylie Billinglsey grabbed second in the 18-hole 13-15 age group with a 96. Chloe Calitri and Hannah Robbins weren’t far behind Baylie, shooting a 104 and 105 to grab fourth and fifth.
