Owensboro girls soccer blanks Union County on the road

The Lady Devils soccer team was able to bounce back from a split doubleheader on Saturday, defeating Union County in a 4-0 shutout.

Senior Sydney Lovett led the way for Owensboro, grabbing a pair of goals to go along with a pair of assists. The other two goals on the day came from senior Emily Roth and freshman Mauwa Lamartine, while Roth and senior keeper Chandler Worth also had an assist each.

Worth had one save in net, while junior Emma Wilkins also had two saves to preserve the 4-0 shutout victory. The Lady Devils improve to 5-5 on the season with the win, as they will take a day off before returning home for a matchup with Henderson County at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
