In a a game that was mostly played in the midfield, the Walsh Cavaliers grinded out a 2-0 victory over the visiting Panthers on Thursday afternoon.
Walsh moves to 3-3 (1-2 G-MAC) on the year while the Panthers fall to 1-4 (0-2 G-MAC).
Walsh used a Taylor Tomlinson goal in the 18th minute to give them the early lead, before Mack White scored a solo goal in the 87th minute to give the Cavaliers a comfortable 2-0 lead with just three minutes left in the game.
Natalie Hinchcliffe recorded two of the Panther’s five shots in the game, including their lone shot on goal. Reegan Garrity made three saves in the game.
Wesleyan will be back in business on Saturday when they travel to Ursuline to take on the Arrows in Pepper Pike, Oh. Gametime is set for 11 a.m.
