Trinity (Whitesville) volleyball is heading back to the 12th District Championship, as they were able to sweep Butler County 3-0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-11) to advance.
Junior Hannah Nash was on fire offensively, recording a team-leading 15 of their 24 kills in the contest. Senior Josie Aull helped set up the offense with 19 assists, while junior Georgia Howard (5) and sophomore Caroline Hall (5) combined for 10 of the team’s serving aces to help the Lady Raiders grow their lead.
Trinity recorded 16 digs as a team, with Hall and Howard leading the way in that category as well with six and four respectively. The Lady Raiders are now set to take on Edmonson County at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, as they will look to beat the Lady Cats for the fourth time this season and repeat as 12th District Champions.
