The Lady Raiders took one step forward in their pursuit of a 3rd Region Championship on Monday, as they defeated Breckinridge County 3-1 (25-11, 25-14, 22-25, 25-18) to advance to the 3rd Region Semifinals.
Junior Hannah Nash was on fire offensively, tallying 21 of the team’s 38 kills while senior Josie Aull assisted on 31 of them. Trinity (Whitesville) protected the floor well, recording a whopping 62 digs in the game.
Senior Abby Payne (17) and junior Georgia Howard (16) combined for 33 of them, while Aull and sophomore Caroline Hall had seven each and Nash and sophomore Kenzie McDowell had six each.
The Lady Raiders now turn their attention to the 3rd Region Semifinals, as they are set to take on Ohio County—who beat Daviess County 3-2 (25-9, 24-26, 25-19, 24-26, 16-14)—on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. EST at Meade County.
