The Apollo bowling teams competed in the Graves County Early Season Region 1 Tournament this past Saturday in Mayfield, KY. Both teams bolwed well, with the boys finishing 3rd of 14 and the girls 4th of 9. Top performances included big games from Connor Nantz (246), Charlie Roberts (240, 228) and Cassidy Joines (210)
The Daviess County Panthers also participated in the tournament, finishing 4th in the boys tourney and runners up in the girls.
On Monday evening the Eagles hosted the Greenwood Gators in a match at Diamond Lanes South. Both Apollo teams came away with wins, with the Boys defeating Greenwood 5-2 and the Girls winning 6-1.
Tyler Head and Charlie Roberts led the way for the Eagle boys with both averaging over 210 for the match. On the girls side Rikki Overall shot at 191 and Sophie O’Bryan was impressive with 70.59% spare shooting.
Apollo’s boys are now 2-0 on the season and the girls are 1-1, now turning their attention to its home match this Friday against Ohio County at Diamond Lanes South.
