OPD: Owensboro man charged with arson after house fire, no injuries reported

An Owensboro man has been charged with arson in relation to a Thursday night residential structure fire on Glendale Avenue, according to the Owensboro Police Department. No injuries were reported.

Glen L. Haws, 40, faces charges of second- and third-degree arson for the incident. He’s being held at the Daviess County Detention Center.

According to reports, OPD and the Owensboro Fire Department were dispatched at 8:18 p.m. to the 1600 block of Glendale Avenue for the incident. Officers received information that the fire was intentionally started. 

Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division responded to assist in a joint investigation with OFD. A second residence was also damaged by the fire, however no injuries were reported.
