Two Owensboro men were arrested Tuesday and face charges related to a drug trafficking operation, according to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a release, at approximately 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, DCSO and the Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at the Cadillac Motel located at 1311 West 2nd Street in reference to an ongoing trafficking operation.
Upon execution of the search warrant, deputies located methamphetamine, an assortment of drug paraphernalia, U.S. currency, and a defaced firearm.
Dillon Lindsey, 23, and Cody Smathers, 27, were each charged with first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, (1st offense, >2 grams methamphetamine, firearm enhancement) and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Lindsey was also charged with possession of a defaced firearm.
