A 3-car collision closed New Hartford Road temporarily Sunday evening, Owensboro Police Department confirms. OPD currently has no comment on if the crash resulted in any injuries.
The collision occurred between three cars at the Foors Lane/Veach Road and New Hartford Road intersection. Public Information Officer Dylan Evans said the intersection is closed for towing and will reopen shortly.
OPD reports that a vehicle was driving eastbound on Veach Road and passed through a red light at the New Hartford Road intersection. They then collided with a second and third vehicle, both going southbound on New Hartford.
The front-seat passenger in the third vehicle was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with pain in their neck.
