The Daviess County Animal Shelter is currently at full capacity with no empty cages for incoming cats. To address the urgent need for adoption, the animal shelter is waiving fees for adult cats and reducing the fees for kittens.
The adoption fee is typically $40 for adult cats but it’s being completely waived. The current $30 adoption fee for kittens is half of the normal price. The shelter is also running a 2 for $50 deal for kitten adoptions. There is a limit of two cat adoptions per household.
All cats are spayed/neutered and microshipped. Free cat toys are also being given away.
The animal shelter currently has about 190 cats in the system, approximately 65 of which are in foster care. To see pets available for adoption from the shelter, click here. Due to the number of animals currently at the shelter, not all of the available cats have photos on the website.
