BRESCIA UNIVERSITY STARTS INAUGURAL MONTH OF SERVICE
Brescia University announced it’s kicking off its inaugural Brescia University Month of Service. During the month of August, the University has a goal of logging 1,000 hours of community service.
Director of alumni and donor relations Jake Davis spearheaded the initiative and said anyone who wishes to give back to their community in honor of Brescia University is welcome to log hours.
“One of the pillars of the Brescia Difference is the Promotion of Servant Leadership, and we’re so excited to put that into action with the Brescia University Month of Service,” Davis said. “We hope all Bearcats – students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University- take some time this month to give back and serve not just the Greater Owensboro community but communities across the country and even internationally.”
The university lists several ways to serve, including volunteering at a local nonprofit, attending board or committee meetings coaching youth sports, and more. The University will count any way of giving back toward its goal. Currently, the University has over 100 hours.
