Boys’ cross country recap (Aug. 26): AHS, DCHS, OHS, OCHS, GCA

Apollo placed first overall in the Warren East Raider Twilight, while other local schools competed in the Madisonville Classic. Daviess County placed first in both the boys’ and girls’ varsity 5k with scores of 29 and 40 respectively. 

AHS- 68

The Eagles won the Warren East Raider Twilight with a score of 68. Individual times were unavailable, but the top runners were Emmitt Brock in second place, Josh Thomas in 12th place and Noah Gray in 14th place.

DCHS- 29

The Panthers finished first place with an average time of 17:32. The top three runners for DCHS all placed in the top 10 in the 5k. The top three runners include:

  • Asher Alvery – 1st place: 16:52.70
  • Brayden Kaelin – 2nd place: 16:58.60
  • Aidan Taylor – 9th place: 17:55.10

OHS- 198

The Red Devils placed eighth in the event with an average time of 21:15. The tops finishers for OHS included: 

  • Jacob Coleman – 46th place: 20:20.90
  • Sam Busse – 51st place: 20:36.20
  • Dylan Fulkerson – 62nd place: 21:20.40

GCA- 266

Grace Christian finished in 10th place with an average time of 24:07. The top finishers included: 

  • Jonathan Dechman – 35th place: 19:58.90
  • Joseph Baker – 68th: 21:51.60
  • Jordan Norris – 100th place: 24:50.10

OCHS

OCHS had three runners in the boys’ event. Their finish times are:

  • Ben Booker – 39th place: 20:09.60
  • Spencer Harris – 58th place: 21:09.10
  • Patrick Hauke – 97th place: 24:29.90
