All Owensboro schools swept the competition today against their respective matchups.
AHS 3, Breckinridge 0
The E-gals had no trouble taking Breckinridge down 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-14).
Ahalia Ramirez had an impressive 30 assists to lead the offense. Abie Butterworth led the team’s scoring with 10 kills and an ace. Kelsey Dickinson led the defense with 15 digs.
DCHS 3, Madisonville- North Hopkins 0
The Lady Panthers also had a total 3-0 (25-22, 25-4, 25-18) victory over Madisonville- North Hopkins.
Leading the way in scoring was Lauren Jean with eight kills, one block and three digs. LEading on defense was Ryan Westerfield with nine digs and an ace. Kayla Jones and Natalie Petri ran the offense by setting up 12 and 10 assists respectively.
OHS 3, McLean 0
The Lady Red Devils kept things short and simple with a 3-0 (25-8, 25-15, 25-11) win against McLean.
Addie Travis once again led the team’s scoring with 15 kills, three digs and four blocks. Ava Fincher orchestrated the offense by creating 22 assists as well as six kills, one ace, 6 digs and one block.
OCHS 3, Henderson 0
The Lady Aces move to an impressive 10-3 now on the season after a 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-15) win against Henderson.
Olivia Castlen led the team with 14 kills, one ace, two blocks, and two digs. Karsen Tipmore led the match defensively with 10 digs and an ace.
THS 3, Butler 0
The Lady Raiders polish off one more 3-0 (25-7, 25-11, 25-14) win before they head off to play in the All “A” State Tournament.
Leading the scoring were Hannah Nash and Georgia Howard with six and seven kills respectively. Gracie Mills also contributed on scoring with six aces. Kenzie McDowell set up the offense with 17 assists.
