According to Sherriff Brad Youngman, a vehicle was likely clipped by a semi-truck changing lanes, causing it to lose control and leave the roadway. The vehicle flipped several times, eventually coming to rest in the Cheddar’s parking lot.
Debris from the crash struck a pedestrian in the parking lot. Both the driver of the vehicle and the pedestrian were transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.
UPDATE (1:36 p.m.): Youngman said that both people were injured; however, he is not certain of the severity of the injuries.
