Boys’ cross country recap (Sept. 29-30): AHS, DCHS, GCA, OHS, THS

Apollo competed in the Nike XC Town Twilight, Daviess County competed in the Louisville XC Classic and Owensboro, Grace Christian Academy and Trinity all competed in the Arrowhead Invitational. 

AHS

Apollo competed in the Boys’ Open Combined and Boys’ Race of Champions. The top runners for the Eagles included:

  • Emmitt Brock – 73rd place in Race of Champions: 16:00.20
  • Noah Gray – 159th place in Race of Champions: 16:30.30
  • Josh Thomas – 320th place in Race of Champions: 17:32.90

DCHS

Daviess County competed in the Louisville XC Classic in the High School Boys’ Invite and High School Boys’ Open. The top runners for the Panthers included:

  • Brayden Kaelin – 56th place in Boy’s Invite: 17:27.60
  • Ben Nunley – 74th place in Boys’ Invite: 17:49.30
  • Austin Spurrier – 87th place in Boys’ Invite: 17:55.20

GCA

Grace Christian placed seventh overall in the Arrowhead Invitational with an average time of 22:55.68. They had one runner place in the top ten individually. The top runners for GCA included:

  • Jonathan Dechman – 9th place: 19:41.63
  • Joseph Baker – 24th place: 21:20.62
  • Jordan Norris – 33rd place: 22:07.30

OHS

Owensboro placed second overall at the Arrowhead Invitational with an average time of 20:12.88. They had one runner place in the top ten individually. The top runners for the Red Devils included:

  • Dylan Fulkerson – 8th place: 19:34.41
  • Jacob Coleman – 11th place: 19:57.83
  • Ace Skimehorn – 16th place: 20:22.41

THS

Trinity placed fourth overall in the Arrowhead Invitational with an average time of 21:39.69. They had one runner place in the top ten individually. The top runners for the Raiders included: 

  • Grant Howard – 10th place: 19:53.75
  • Thomas Payne – 21st place: 21:14.29
  • Jacob Howard – 26th place: 21:25.77
