Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter Leanna Crawford is coming to Owensboro for a free outdoor concert this Saturday for the final installment of the “Faith Night” series hosted by the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame & Museum.
The concert will be held on the Michael E. Horn Family outdoor stage from 6-8:30 p.m. In addition to music, Faith Night features food trucks, vendors, and more for the whole family. The Hall of Fame will sell concessions, but the series is alcohol-free. Seating is not provided, so guests are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket. No outside coolers are permitted.
“We work hard to present music with a mission and want everything we do under the Hall of Fame banner to have a tangible impact on our community,” Chris Joslin, Hall of Fame Executive Director, previously said. “We look for ways to feature Christian artists because gospel music is an important part of the bluegrass music tradition.”
Crawford grew up in northwestern Washington. Her website says, “Growing up near the water and the mountains, Leanna often took long walks among the trees, talking to God and discovering more about Him and herself. Her connection with God’s creation inspired her latest collection of songs filled with personal, powerful melodies and heartfelt vocals focused on God’s unending faithfulness.”
She has been writing, touring, and singing with some of the biggest names in the Christian music industry, including artists such as Michael W. Smith, Matthew West, Jeremy Camp, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Maher, Plumb & Jordan Feliz. In October 2019, “Funeral” was the first radio single released from Crawford’s EP. The next single, “Truth I’m Standing On,” also from the EP, was a Top 30 song on the Billboard Christian Airplay chart. Crawford was nominated as Female Artist of the Year for the 2021 K-LOVE Fan Awards.
