The Oven was voted the community’s favorite locally owned restaurant in the Owensboro Times Eat Down the Street contest presented by First United Bank and Trust. OT surprised The Oven’s owners James Harlen and Shelly Marshall with the announcement during a Facebook Live video that can be watched here.
The Oven made it to the championship week of the contest after being voted the Best Pizza restaurant. The other finalists included Kim’s Diner (Best Dine-In), Pamir Afghan Cuisine (Best International), Big Dipper (Best Drive-in), and Dee’s Diner (Best Breakfast).
