Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the Jim Lambert Pioneer Village at Yellow Creek Park on Saturday, when a Candy Cane Hunt, caroling, and other activities will also be held. The cabins will be decorated for the holidays.
Daviess County Parks & Recreation is hosting the event, set to take place from 12-3 p.m.
The Candy Cane Hunt (similar to an Easter Egg Hunt) will begin at 2 p.m. Children ages 3-10 are invited to participate.
Other activities include a petting zoo, food booths, and Christmas photos with the Clauses.
Market vendors will offer gifts and other Christmas goods for purchase. Food vendors include Real Hacienda Express and Lure Smoke Shack. The Cottage will serve hot beverages, cookies, and other Christmas desserts.
Choirs from Daviess County High School and College View Middle School are scheduled to perform. Additionally, members of the Theatre Workshop of Owensboro will participate as strolling carolers.
