Monday morning’s march down Frederica Street in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day has been canceled due to inclement weather. The rest of the annual celebration, including a speech by Owensboro native Candace Olusola, will still take place.
The event will take place at Kentucky Wesleyan College’s Jack Wells Activity Center at 3300 Frederica Street. Refreshments will be available from 9:30-10 a.m., and the program will begin at 10 a.m. The event will be live streamed at kwc.edu.
Olusola is a certified life coach, public speaker, and host of the podcast “First Paso.” She brings a holistic approach to personal and professional growth, and her coaching is aimed at empowering and inspiring people to navigate life’s challenges, discover their true potential, and cultivate a sense of purpose.
