Kentucky Wesleyan College will hold its inaugural Spring Reunion Weekend this March, with a newlywed-style game featuring three pairs of Wesleyan sweethearts and an alumni basketball game as part of the festivities.
The events will take place March 1-2 at various locations. Festivities include an alumni pickup game in Jones Gymnasium, The Wesleyan Sweethearts Game Show at the Jack T. Wells Activity Center, a pre-game party at the President’s Home, a basketball doubleheader vs. Trevecca Nazarene at the Owensboro Sportscenter, and a post-game celebration at Bayside at The Party Space Place.
“Following a successful Homecoming & Family Weekend centered around fall sports in September, survey results indicated a desire for a similar weekend surrounding Panther Basketball,” a release from KWC says.
The Wesleyan Sweethearts Game will be hosted by WBKR’s Chad Benefield, with three couples competing for the title of Wesleyan Sweethearts of the Year. Tickets for that event can be purchased here.
Ed Krahwinkel of Edward Jones is the sponsor of Spring Reunion Weekend.
