Christopher Caples, 42 of Daviess County, was arrested Friday in relation to the ongoing sexual abuse involving multiple children in east Daviess County, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office reports.
DCSO’s General Investigations Unit conducted the investigation along side the Department of Community Based Services – Child Protective Services. This is still an ongoing investigation and additional charges are expected, DCSO reports.
According to DCSO, it was discovered during the investigation the victims were under the age of 12 at the time of the sexual abuse. Based on the evidence and statements DCSO gathered, they served an arrest warrant that was obtained form the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office.
Caples is now held in the Daviess County Detention Center.
Caples is charged with the following:
- Sodomy 1st Degree (Victim less than 12 years old) (3 counts)
- Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (Victim under 12 years of age) (1 count)
