An Owensboro man has pleaded guilty to two felony counts of dealing meth, according to the Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office.

According to an announcement from the Prosecutor’s Office, 39-year-old Benjamin D. Shepherd pleaded guilty in Spencer County Circuit Court to two counts of Dealing in Methamphetamine as Level 3 Felonies. The charges came following an investigation led by the Indiana State Police, officials said.

“The drug interdiction operation executed by ISP Detectives in this matter secured evidence of Shepherd transacting methamphetamine on two separate occasions in the Rockport area,” the announcement says.

Officials said that Shepherd agreed to be sentenced to a fixed term of 9 years, with placement to be determined by a judge. Shepherd’s sentencing is scheduled for May 9.
