Melissa Maze is stepping into the role of Association Executive for the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association. Maze said she is hopeful to help ensure homebuyers’ transitions are as seamless as possible.

Maze said she will manage GORA’s day-to-day operations and ensure that all processes run smoothly, including the technology for the realtors. She said technology is important to how the organization and realtors conduct business.

“If technology isn’t working with our [system] or if realtors can’t get into the house and the lock boxes aren’t working, then that throws glitches into home showing and people being able to get in and see all of the homes that they want to see,” Maze said.

GO Realtors 2024 President Matthew Schell said the hiring team and Board of Directors were excited about what Maze brings to the table and “her ability to best serve our members in navigating the changing real estate industry.”

Maze earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Kentucky Wesleyan College, where she also contributed to the Community and Economic Development Department at the Green River Area Development District. Following graduation, she worked in a hospital’s emergency department before ultimately discovering her passion for real estate.

In 2012, Maze embarked on her journey as a licensed realtor, building upon her prior role as an assistant office manager in a real estate office.
