A five-vehicle rear end collision occurred just after 2 p.m. Monday in the 8400 block of KY-81 near KY-554.
According to Daviess County Sheriff’s Office Major Barry Smith, the state highway department was working on the roadway and had traffic limited to one lane.
One-lane travel continues as first responders clear the scene.
Smith said several will be transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital with nonlife-threateing injuries.
