The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office arrested two suspects on multiple drug offenses including trafficking of fentanyl this week.
Tyler R. Sowders, 26, and Lauren T. Turner, 22, both of the 2200 block of Belmont Drive were arrested and lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center.
According to a release, the arrests were the culmination of an investigation that began in early 2024 and included the execution of a search warrant at the suspect’s home in the 2200 block of Belmont Drive in March, as well as multiple undercover controlled purchases of fentanyl.
“During the search warrant operation SIU detectives located counterfeit Percocet pills containing fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, baggies, scales, U.S. currency, and two handguns. All evidence was seized from the scene and logged into evidence at DCSO,” the release says.

- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Failure to Appear (Warrant)
Turner:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1st Degree Fentanyl (Firearm Enhancement)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Cocaine) (Firearm Enhancement)
- Drug Paraphernalia – Buy/Possess (Firearm Enhancement)
