Wendell Foster recently launched its Red, White, & Bourbon Raffle. The raffle benefits the Wendell Foster Center, which provides over 65,000 services annually to children and adults with disabilities.
The raffle features five exclusive prizes, including a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 12 Year for the grand prize and a bottle of Pappy Van Winkle 10 Year for the second prize.
In addition to the Pappy Van Winkle 12-year-old, the grand prize features a bottle of Elmer T. Lee and E.H. Taylor Single Barrel. Along with the Pappy Van Winkle 10-year, the second prize also includes a bottle of George T. Stagg and E.H. Taylor Small Batch.
The raffle’s third prize is a trio of rare bourbon, including a bottle of Woodford 15-Year, Weller 12-Year French Label, and Seagram’s 1776 Premium American Whiskey in a Tiffany & Co. decanter. The fourth prize is a collection of six Maker’s Mark bottles honoring the distillery’s founders.
“Three bottles feature artwork by Owensboro native Aaron Kizer, with one label hand-painted and signed by the artist himself,” the nonprofit said in a release. “This bottle is considered a rare collector’s item, with only 40 manufactured and sold. The fifth and final prize is a bundle of University of Kentucky-themed bottles of Maker’s Mark”
Those five bottles include Maker’s Mark 2010 with John Calipari, Maker’s Mark 2013 with Dan Issel, Maker’s Mark 2008 with Joe B. Hall, and Maker’s Mark 2014 with Mark Stoops.
“This is the third year the organization has held a bourbon raffle, but the first to be held in the summer,” said Wendell Foster CEO Doug Hoyt. “We are ecstatic to kick off the summer with a very patriotic-themed bourbon raffle. By supporting this raffle, you are helping Wendell Foster continue its mission of empowering people with disabilities. We wish you the best of luck.”
Tickets for the raffle cost $25, and each ticket gives you a separate and equal chance to win one of the five prizes. The auction will run through Monday, July 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CST. The raffle drawing is set for Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. CST in the Elmer Administration Building on Wendell Foster’s campus and will stream live on Wendell Foster’s Facebook page.
