Publix Super Markets announced it has executed a lease on a new store location in Owensboro.
A company representative said the store will be located on the northwest corner of Pleasant Valley Road and Hayden Road (across from TownePlace Suites Owensboro, just north of the multi-unit centers already in Gateway Commons). An opening timeframe has not yet been determined.
The 50,325-square-ft. store will employ approximately 150 associates, according to a release.
“We are excited to continue our growth across Kentucky with 11 locations now announced in the state,” Media Relations Manager Jared Glover said in the release. “We look forward to our new customers experiencing the Publix difference soon!”
Details of the store’s interior layout and exterior appearance were not made available at the time of the publication. The store depicted above is located in New Bern, North Carolina.
